Do we really need school holidays?

Do we need a School Holiday? School holidays are much needed so that we could have a break from
learning, we need to spend time with our family and so that after the Holidays we are ready to learn.

Children need school holidays to relax! For example, young children need time to be a kid and play with
toys and older children need to have some time with their friends. If we don’t have school holidays we
will end up being overwhelmed.

Do you get to spend time with your family during the school holidays? The school holidays give children
time so that they could spend time with their family. A lot of times parents are working and children are
often at school so there is no communication with your family, this is why school holidays are much
needed.

After school holidays do you have an energized feeling for school? Well during school holidays children
are more put back into their position so that after the school holidays children are energized and more
interested in learning. This is why we need school holidays to reset our minds.

I hope this essay gave you a clear thought on why I think that we need school holidays. I am saying yes
we need more and longer school holidays. This is why I think that the school holidays are much needed.

Description of the sandwich: Yummy Sandwich.   

On Monday we planned on describing and writing down recipes and following instructions so we made our own recipes and today which is Tuesday. So I used everything that is written below besides a sandwich presser. I have made a really nice Sandwich. Thank you Mrs Stone for buying the ingredients….

Ingredients & Equipment:

• 2 pieces of bread
• 2 slices of cheese (25g per slice)
• Butter or margarine (2 teaspoons)
• 2-3 slices of tomato

4 slices of cucumbers

• 2 tablespoons of canned tuna
• A squirt of mayo (2 teaspoons)
• 2-3 tablespoons shredded lettuce
• Sandwich presser

Method:

1. Spread some butter or margarine on your bread make sure that you have a clean and hygiene station to work on
2. Put on 1 slice of cheese
3. Cut up some tomatoes as much as you want and put it on the bread
4. Cut up 3-5 slices of cucumbers and put them on to your bread.
5. Put on your tuna
6. Squirt some Mayo onto your bread
7. Then put on your Lettuce
8. Put your 2nd piece of bread on top
9. Last put your sandwich on a Sandwich presser for 5-10 minutes

Then Enjoy!!!

A ladybug is a very tiny beetle. The colors of ladybugs make it attractive, the most common is red with black polka dots. For such a little bug it has an enormous appetite eating up to 75 aphids a day!

Task description: today we had to write some facts about bugs but not ordinary bugs we had to choose out of  Mosquitoes, Ladybugs, dung beetle, bumble bee

Did you know that our teacher Mr Goodwin is a very crazy teacher. Today he told us to line up we are going to do something lame and fast so we put on our shoes and lined up outside our classroom. Unintentionally he now tells us to line up along the goal post.

At this minute he says GO! and I stood there for 10 seconds and then I went running i thought in my head why do teachers to this. On my way back I had tripped over a piece of rock I said “ I have had better experience than this cleaning my house and doing chores was better. After all everybody was lying on the grass and breathing like a bunch of sumo wrestlers puffing.

When I had tripped over all my thoughts had fallen out of my head and I was not confident to do my recount any more I was exhausted.  I think that my teacher has come back from Thailand and gotten far to crazy.

I would never want to do this again i have had enough of running already. Mr Goodwin if you are reading this please calm down that would be so nice.

Task Description: today Our teacher told us to line up along the goal post and he told us the instructions that we had to run to the other goal post and back.

Task Description: my task for today was write about my group cameras. So basically what i have written is  what is it, my experience, care, and a picture of me holding a camera.

Pass the parcel

Once upon a time I was rich and I had a slave working for me. The slave once disobeyed me and told on me. I had to leave the castle and  I was homeless had no money or home. I ran far away from the castle so they didn’t notice.that I ran away from the castle i saw a village with little people in it i had to ask them if i could live in there and they said yes. So i went in it was harm so i had a break and i told them about what happen and how it started. then they got scared. She scream and shouted really loud “aaaaaaaaHHHH!!!!”.they tried to find a way out but they could let's go in here there was a monster.Lets gap it Bayreuth monster was chasing them all around and the people found their way out but it wasn’t the right way out.

The monster stop they stopped to all he wanted to do was make friends but the people didn’t trust the monster. Suddenly the slave who had disobeyed me came out from nowhere carrying a sword and a shield, “I have come for your forgiveness master” he cried as he slayed the beast. “I… will kill you for that” said the monster as it regenerated. Everyone ran away in fear and the monster ran after them. As they ran the threw things at the monster and made the monster slipped and pushed the monster away the end.

Task description: today we did a pass the parcel story. For those who do not know how this goes it goes like this. we all get in a circle and first we start by writing 1 sentence and pass your chrome book along the circle and each time you have to write a sentence and this creates a story. and this is how my story turned out to be from a rich man to a monster

Dear Prime Minister,

Greetings, my name is Nasibah and I am a year 5 student at Pt England school. I am wanting to inform you that there has been a big issue in New Zealand. People in New Zealand have been littering everywhere, such as rivers, oceans, lakes and this is not a healthy environment. People are now living in an environment where people are getting sick all the time. This is an estimate of how much rubbish has been littered around Auckland 103,247,609! I think hundreds of people are going to be unhappy about this amount.

I think New Zealand has to step up. I think that you have to bring an strict rule to New Zealand e.g. put rubbish bins around certain places, or hire more wardens/security guards to patrol our beaches.

You need to do something now because our country has been obsessed over all the littering that has been happening. And I also think that you should release an message for littering that way we will atleast have a good environment.

Super kid

Super kid is the queen of lights. She has black eyes and a stunning outfit. One day she decided to go to the supermarket. So she got ready in her ordinary clothes, but she also had her superhero clothes in a plastic bag in-case. On her way there she found out that someone was annoying her by tickling her ears. She hit to an stop and looked around she saw none she carried on. After 10-15 min something annoyed her again this time she stopped looked around and saw a evil man with a duster in his hand. Super kid ran to the side and transformed as fast as she could and all of sudden they were fighting. Super kid was hiding in the A.N.Z building. Out of the blues the ugly evil man came and Super kid was already snapping of the lights to make it dark and The evil man got dizzy and fell into a deep sleep.Super Kid was calling the police to discard this person. Super Kid transformed back to normal and was living happily ever after.
