My Stardome Trip!

W.A.L.T: include a variety of sentences types in our writing.

Last week on Thursday we went on a  trip to Stardome! I was in group 3 which was Sam’s group. In my group was Paikea, Charlese, Myself, Skye, Thida and a few others. It was insane to be waiting for a long time with excitement.  

While we were on the bus i was sitting next to two of  my friends Thida & Rozaidah. We were so happy to go to Stardome. We were all so busy playing all sorts of hand games & many other cool things. Once we got there we were surprised to see the BIG white dome. We got off the bus and we had a little talk with Mr Goodwin. After that we all got to play on the playground I was sitting on the spinning thing i'm not so sure of what the name is but i had forced Miss Parrant to have a go as 5 people sat down & 2 people were pushing. We all started screaming.

Inside stardome was so warm. What we did first was we went into this special room and we had an old man who  was explaining to us about the solar system. After that we had to do a quiz and we found all sorts of different things.

Finally we got to go to the stardome theatre and watch a movie. It was really hard for me to know what was going on after i had slept first half of the movie. It was a motion movie when i got out of the theatre i was so dizzy. I would never want to go to a motion movie again.

I learnt that solar means sun. Earth is a Goldilocks planet because it’s not too cold neither too hot it’s just right. I really suggest little student whom love space to go there.

For this task we had to do this task which is called a Recount of what we did last week on Thursday, which was about Stardome. This was a task for everyone to do. Mars One Project

Task description: for this task we had to read some articles about Mars one project and write about some of the facts.

Immersion assembly

W.A.L.T: use exiting language

Welcome back guys. So today we had a warm start of from immersion assembly. It was crazy and teachers were dressed up as part of what their team was learning about this term.

The school topic for this term is Now That is Thinking. Teams 1 - 3 is learning all about kites and Matariki.

The one and only  team 4 is learning all about. What Kind Of Technology Did the Maori People Use Before The Pakeha Arrived In New Zealand.

For this term i would like to learn and research about one single topic Who was first man to even invent technology? Because ever since i was in year 1 i would use a I pad i did not how this was made and days  went by I thought is a Chromebook invented. But Mr Goodwin if you are reading this do not stress out for making extreme hard work take it easy.

Overall i think that the new theme for this term is quite fascinating  because i love technology more than paper or book.
Task description: this task was much more of a recount becuase we had immersion assembly and then we did literacy. 

Nasibah Food web

W.A.L.T: make connections across multiple texts

For those of you who do not know what this is. this is a ecosystem food web. which contains insectlazor eating grass as well illusion spider eats grass fish eats illusion spider illusion spider eats ants polar bears eats fish. and this all happens in a cycle just like a water cycle which water rotates through different stuffs.

Task: description: today we had to write  about  the food web that contains our insect and spider that we created.

Nasibah Native Bird

W.A.L.T: we are learning to write persuasively.

What are some native birds around tamaki? It would be great if we could have some more native birds around tamaki so we can find out more about birds

I think that there should be more of Toutouwai Native Bird in New Zealand because i would like to know some of the features and beauty of Toutouwai.

I would also love to see some Takahe because i have never heard of this bird and i would like to find some of its habitats and it behavior much more.

I want less of these seagulls because segal's have this bad habit of ripping rubbish bags.  So i would rather have some more different birds.

I would rather like to see more native birds than Non - Native birds. That is why tamaki needs more native bird.

today my task was to identify these 4 different type of birds that i have written about and if you see carefully maybe you can find a link to a website.

Newspaper tower

Have you ever constructed a Tower before? Well today I came to knowing that it will be a normal day. But when I come in class I saw my teacher sorting out newspapers,  That seemed a little weird. I was kind of convinced of what we were going to do.

When we were being told about the experience I was so excited. I had overfull of ideas in my mind I could not wait to explode those ideas out of my mind. My teacher ( Mr Goodwin ) was telling us instructions but I did not bother listening I was far too busy.

When we got to plan it I turned out that  none of my ideas exploded. When it was my turn Bethan would get frustrated and she would say nobody listens to  me and i would give my turn to her all the time.

But finally at last me and my group mix and matched all of our ideas and came with 1 plan.

As we were constructing the newspaper tower  we made a platform and then we tried to stick all the bits and pieces but it just wouldn't work. We tried different ways we scrunched up newspaper but it would just fall down and we couldn’t  stand it.

I would have to say that next time I would rather write about the weekends to be honest.

Chicken flavoured worms

Have you ever heard of delicious chicken worms?

Well my teacher just fed us chicken flavored worms, probably because he had 12 cups of coffee last night. I had fun looking at everyone.

Introduction Rubric

Task description: in today's lesson we experience all about chicken noodles. i was laughing because my teacher had put it on peoples faces.

My cameras group

Task Description: my task for today was write about my group cameras. So basically what i have written is  what is it, my experience, care, and a picture of me holding a camera.

Pass the parcel

Once upon a time I was rich and I had a slave working for me. The slave once disobeyed me and told on me. I had to leave the castle and  I was homeless had no money or home. I ran far away from the castle so they didn’t notice.that I ran away from the castle i saw a village with little people in it i had to ask them if i could live in there and they said yes. So i went in it was harm so i had a break and i told them about what happen and how it started. then they got scared. She scream and shouted really loud “aaaaaaaaHHHH!!!!”.they tried to find a way out but they could let's go in here there was a monster.Lets gap it Bayreuth monster was chasing them all around and the people found their way out but it wasn’t the right way out.

The monster stop they stopped to all he wanted to do was make friends but the people didn’t trust the monster. Suddenly the slave who had disobeyed me came out from nowhere carrying a sword and a shield, “I have come for your forgiveness master” he cried as he slayed the beast. “I… will kill you for that” said the monster as it regenerated. Everyone ran away in fear and the monster ran after them. As they ran the threw things at the monster and made the monster slipped and pushed the monster away the end.

Task description: today we did a pass the parcel story. For those who do not know how this goes it goes like this. we all get in a circle and first we start by writing 1 sentence and pass your chrome book along the circle and each time you have to write a sentence and this creates a story. and this is how my story turned out to be from a rich man to a monster

Brooklyn, Monika, Lilah said “OH NO HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET OUT OF HERE!. They looked straight and they found a chair made from gold. They walked towards it and saw a bunch of gold. But eventually the golden chair was high. Monika had an idea she could climb up the big golden wall to find what is trapped over the golden chair.

Task description: today we had to write a story using a image that our handsome teacher has chosen us. the image that my teacher has chosen for us was a cave so we had to write a story about a adventure into the cave.

Energy drink P.M.I

Because it has a lot of water in it and You can put in natural flavors in any kind of drink, Especially in sport drinks.	I don’t think people will enjoy watching the ads but when they really get it they will want even more from the people who sale the Sport Drinks. I think everyone who have been saleing these type of drinks because they have been something thats called False advertising.	The interesting thing about energy drinks are that it does not give you energy it only gives you hydration

Nasibah Beginning of the 2016 Olympics

Today is the 5th of August and guess what it is beginning the Rio 2016 Olympics. The is placed in Brazil and i am pretty sure that million's of people will be going to Brazil just to see the Rio 2016 Olympics. I am exited just because we are going to be getting Sky in our classroom so we can watch live 2016 Olympics.That is COOL!. The sport that i cannot wait to look for is swimming. My favorite athlete is Lauren Boyle.
